I grew up near Honolulu, Hawaii. My mother was saved through the ministry of a woman in the neighborhood who befriended her and invited her to church. Soon afterward, she placed her faith in Christ, and it was through my mother’s witness that I became a Christian as well. I came to faith in Jesus through when I was 12 and was baptized in my home church.
I attended DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, where I received a bachelor’s degree in piano performance. I later enrolled in Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, where I received my masters of divinity and church music degrees.
I have served as English pastor at CGF Manhattan since May 2016. I’m married to Lauren, who is an amazing wife, friend, and partner in ministry. I enjoy watching sports, pickling vegetables, trying new restaurants around the city, and exercising from time to time.
It is my hope and prayer that CGF would grow into a family of men, women, and young people who knows and loves the one true God rightly, and that we would walk in God’s truth and grace. It is my hope that the true worship of God would inform our love for neighbor and that we would increasingly be a blessing to the city.
Next Generation Director
I was born in Hong Kong and moved to New York City when I was four years old when my parents moved back here. I grew up in Queens and attended school in the city through college. I came to know Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior when I was about 17 years old. It was through a back injury in high school where the Lord showed me that I can trust Him. That is when I began seeking Him on my own and when I came to realize my need for a Savior in Jesus. I am still in awe of Jesus’ great love for me and am eternally thankful for His grace in my life.
It was in college when God had called me into ministry. I attended CUNY Queens College where I completed my bachelors in Nutrition and Dietetics and became a Registered Dietitian in 2018.
I have been serving as Next Generation Director at CGF Manhattan since November 2020. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring the city, cooking, swinging the golf club, running, and traveling.
My hope is to see generations of disciples obeying the call to make disciples; whether that be within the home or in community of faith (Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Matthew 28:19-20). I desire children of God to behold more of Jesus to become more like Jesus (2 Corinthians 3:17-18). My desire is to see generations in pursuit of Jesus and to live obediently to our Father. May Jesus be glorified, honored and known in everything we do!
